The Transportation system interfaces with multiple Daffron applications
- Any vehicle number entered in the Account Payable system will automatically be validated by the Transportation system.
- By attaching a unit number to an invoice in the Accounts Payable system, the user has direct access to the Maintenance Record of
that unit in the Transportation system for simultaneous entry of information.
- The Transportation system will validate all vehicle numbers that are entered in Time Entry in the Payroll system and also gather
pay rate information from the Payroll system in order to calculate in-house mechanic labor costs.
- The Payroll system will validate any employee number entered in Equipment Maintenance and also send all use and maintenance
transactions entered in Time Entry to the Transportation system at Pay Period Close.
- The Work Order system will validate any work order number that was entered in Equipment Use Transactions in the Transportation system.
- The Transportation system will send all vehicle costs associated with work orders to the Work Order system at Month Close.
- The Inventory system will send all charged out part and supply transactions to the Transportation system immediately.
- The Transportation system will automatically validate any vehicle numbers and routine maintenance codes entered using the Material
Issues and Returns option in the Inventory system.
- The Transportation system will send all journal entries to General Ledger.
- The General Ledger system will validate all general ledger account numbers that are entered into the Transportation system and will
verify that the Transportation system has been closed before General Ledger is closed.
- Entry of new transportation equipment can be done as a byproduct of asset entry.
- Depreciation expense passed from Fixed Assets to each transportation unit.
